New Front for My ST11 Darksider
« on: October 31, 2017, 09:01:35 AM »
I have been running an Avon Storm2 on my front for the whole time I have been Darksiding the rear.
The front is now getting a little slim on tread depth so I have just ordered the new Avon Spirit ST.
As soon as its fitted and on the road I will provide a bit of a report and let all know the milage obtained on the previous Avon Storm2 as well as where the Darkside is currently at in terms of milage.

Today was the day to fit the New Avon Spirit ST.

The old Avon Storm 2 was great.  I ran up 23,292 kms before the change today.
I never had issues with it as a tyre.  It felt nice on the front and thats what made me go for the Avon the second time around.
The Storm 2 was superseded twice over and now is the Spirit ST.  So I am going to give it ago trusting that the newer technology gets even better.

The old tyre wore on the RH side more than the left.  Not sure why, perhaps it was the road camber - but whatever the case its definitely one sided.  In the photo's below you can see where the tread has worn through to the casing.
