scary thoughts

as shown before! the rear Tyre before Inverell and was replaced. Inspecting the front Tyre yesterday to determan how much tread was legally left , then I saw this-these





second metzler to form cracks in lasertecs. Last one rear and brand new 5 thousand kliks

very scary thoughts

Pretty nasty cracks for what is essentially a new tyre at 5,000km.   :eek
I'd be changing to another brand, and there's plenty of information on the forum about what others are getting out of various brands.

Whats the manufacture date on them?

If they are only new tyres (5000km is new, just depends on how many years) take them back and tell them to replace...

I agree, you should complain. Document and think about keeping the tyres after they have been changed as evidence until you have satisfaction. It looks like a tyre that is 30 years old!

Check the date code on the tyre. The tyre shop may have had them in stock for a number of years which means the rubber may have hardened and made it prone to cracking.

new front tyre today. bad news  :fp is steering head bearings buggered. more money! at least it will be easier,safer and smother to ride  :thumbs
