I haven't heard of it happening.
I think it means what it says-  your ABS is on the blink!

mate it is the ABS error code not the F1 light error code. It is for the ABS Front Modulator.  If it really is the modulator I am in deep poo.

Well I have reset the error code in the hope it is something random and will give the bike a bit of a clean.  Rode home this arvo and no error occurred so fingers crossed.

No part has ever been ordered in Oz and they have not one in stock, so the likelyhood of that being the actual issue is now a little back down the list......see how things go over the next couple of days.

My manual suggests that if the ABS light starts to flash while riding, stop, turn motor off, restart motor (ABS self checks again), start riding and the light should go out around 6-10kph and if it doesn't go out after that then it's a trip to the dealer.

So far my ABS has been trouble free except for a moment when the light started flashing on the way home a few weeks ago and it was ok the next time I went for a ride.

Ahh now I get it.
Well it sounds like it may be all good again :yayrun
It's good to hear that it's not likely to be the serious/expensive issue :thumb

Keep us posted, and good luck mate :hatwave

Strewth!  That's a long time to have been putting up with it.  I guess it's not a "no-go item" but will be nice to sort it out.  We all hate having fault lights on the panel !

you are right, it has been a while but thankfully both front and rear brakes still work fine, just can't rely on the ABS cutting in unfortunately.  Will hopefully get some response from the honda mob tomorrow  :well

Tj. You could try swapping abs sensor with another 1300 up your way, swap one at a time. Put your one in the good 1300 go for a ride and see. Make sure the gap is right and the abs ring is clean and not damaged. You just have to find someone to swap with for a test, if you were in Melb you could use mine.
Cheers Adam :blk13

Thank you for some great suggestion, they (honda) spent three hours attempting to rectify it....it now appears to be all ok, gaps was out on the front, plus gunk clogging things up (possibly dead kangaroo).  The rear sensor  has been hit by something (possibly the same kangaroo) so it was cleaned and the gap checked.  So far all sounds that I will be right for a trip very shortly..........no quiet, after having a look over the area that they cleaned I noticed some fluid  :cuss and on further inspection found that I have done one of the seals on the forks  :cuss :cuss back to honda tomorrow morning an if I am lucky they may have it fixed by the afternoon, fingers crossed........then I may be off for a ride :runyay
