Vibration above 3700 RPM
« on: June 23, 2020, 11:49:42 AM »
Hi all
I took my 02 1100 for a ride on the weekend to find i have a vibration around 3700 rpm. It has nothing to do with bike speed as i checked it at 80k's and at 110 k's, both the same once the engine rpm goes to 3700. With the engine rpm at 3500 or less it is as smooth as silk. One thing im not sure about is if it goes away above 4000 rpm.
I will drain oil and check the filter, does anyone have other ideas ? The timing belt was changed at 145000, which was 10000 k's ago.
Thanks in advance
Grub

Its just an ST harmonics thing Grub, it goes away again once you past 3800RPM. Stop worrying, and keep riding.

A carb balance might help.
