Hey all,
I am getting new tyres on the 1100 tomorrow and have been told this is a good time to inspect the final drive and add new Moly Paste. I have the paste so was going to do this while they have the back wheel off. However, I have no idea what I need to do. Do I need to pull anything off to get to it once the wheel is off? I cannot find any videos of pictures showing this so would really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction so I don't miss this opportunity.
TIA

the moly has to be applied to the final drive spline, most places use marine grease which is a waste of time, first you need to inspect the drive for wear

Tell the tyre place that you want the final drive grease with you moly paste, and they will do it I am sure. (Tyre for bikes in Vic Park WA do it as a matter of course, axs they know what they are doing). It doesnt take much paste, as its just a smear required. If you ask , I am sure they will show you where it goes.
Have a look here, a couple of posts down are pics of the area.
