Motorcycle Insta-Mold Earplugs

Insta-Mold Earplugs, when worn properly, can greatly reduce the noise level of riding.
They can help save your hearing and also reduce some of the stresses due to the fatigue of long-distance riding.

That's one hell of a deal Streak.  I would even organise a group day for this so we can share the extra cost between all the riders here in Townsville. :rofl

I wonder if the agent at Tamworth would be keen to drive up to Inverell in September.   With 30 or so bikes and riders there, it may be worth the drive.

Just did a warranty claim on the speakers from my Air tube Earmoulds as they where cutting out.....

Gordon Guyer from Earmoulds in Tamworth rode up here on his BMW, assessed the speakers and proved the fault and replaced with the inline volume control upgraded headsets at no additional charge, he enquired as to Pockey's set which had same issue as mine only one or twice though and easily rectified even on the move......also replaced free with the inline volume control upgrade.

Now thats customer service  :thumbsup  :thumbsup

Don't forget the above Earmould agents offer a 10% discount to OzSTOC members

Yes .. that is great if you have a Sena ...  I have Interphone F5. I have thought of striping the cables in the helmet / mic piece but don't have spare unit to try it on and use mine all the time. You can buy a plug to 3.5mm audio but you lose the mic .. not much use then for uhf and phone .....   :||||

I've upgraded to Sena, from BT Interphone - something like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-x-1000M-BT-Bluetooth-Interphone-Intercom-Motorcycle-Helmet-Stereo-Headset-FM-/201019846931?pt=AU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ecdb77113

There's a few spare bits like a headset or two in a drawer in the garage.  Send a PM with your address and I'll post one, if your are interested.

We have had Earmolds for about 4 years now with only positives until recently.... :||||

We have the standard Earmolds each and the speaker version each as well....we use the speaker air tube version more than 95% of the time...We used the old Tamworth agent who was sensational, even attended one of our RTE's in Ebor a few years ago to make Earmolds for our members and their agent in Warwick attended National Rally 2015 and hooked up a number of members with the Earmold products  :-++

Earlier this year both our speaker set Earmolds needed resealing as the protective coating was becoming worn...not bad for 4 years work. Pockey even uses hers for running so they are sweaty as for a few hours each week and bounce back for more  :thumb

They where returned recently and resealed...

Pockeys first use and one air tube fell out, third use the other fell out...now they wont stay in place or just as bad protrude through into the ear cannal and cause pain...grrr ! Never happened in 4 years of ownership previously. Now mine.... four uses and same story on both sides....grr!

So the reply I would expect from the vendor would be along the lines of ....Send them back and we will repair and return  :wink1

But no... What I got was send them back with a reply paid post pack (Ok, I can live with that) But the "They are designed like this in case of an Emergency" and the "we must be using them wrong and pulling them out by the tubes"  :well  :well After 4 year of trouble free use and none of these issues.... I think not  :OldMan

Anyone with similar issues of the tubes separating from the Earmold ??

The tubes arent designed to stick to the bud, though some do superglue them in.

If the tube us poking through, remove it from the plug. dip the tube end in hot water and it will straighten, heat it again and insert into the plug to the depth required and then bend down as close to the earplug as you can. Hold until it cools, then repeat.

It is a good idea to unscrew the tube from the speaker first, and to blow through the tube  to clear any water. Its a good idea to blow the tubes clean regularly, as wax can build up and stop the audio.

I have been doing this for many years. Yes the tube coming out is a nuisance, that has happened to me when taking out of a pocket. I have lost plug like that, another set got eaten by one of the Pugs

Yep I clean them with a blunt draw up needle on a syringe with hot water from the speaker end after removing from the speaker itself then remould the tube downwards and cool with cold water....

Perhaps they were superglued by the original Earmold franchise ?? because they never separated.....I can see a drop of glue coming there way  ;-* :beer

The Ear mold guys in Perth wont superglue them.

No need to draw the water through, hot water softens the wax, and a blow with the mouth is easy. (quick and easy)
