Kyabram Overnighter Saturday 17 August 2019
« on: July 16, 2019, 11:25:41 AM »
Ladies, Gents, OzSTOCers and Wannabees,

As a prelude to the RTE Rushworth Sunday 18 August, 2019 http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=13484.msg1256664#msg1256664, arrangements are being made for an overnighter at Kyabram on Saturday 17 August 2019.

A post in the Tatong RTE thread mentions this overnighter at either Kyabram or Rochester.  Emails / messages to suitable accommodation venues at both has resulted in a response from only Kyabram - so Kyabram it is.

Booking.com (and other booking sites have Double and Twin Rooms at the KY Country Roads Motor Inn starting at $115 per night.  I have emailed the Inn direct for confirmation that if we book with them direct that they will match or better the booking site rate.  More information re. this will be posted, when I receive a response.

In the meantime, if you are interested in attending, please post below.

  • Bodo
  • Michael & Helen
As you can see, plenty of room above to add your name.

Enough to hold the VIC flag, might get complicated if Bodo brings the SA flag.

Re. Saturday evening meal, we have plenty of options, eg: https://goo.gl/maps/dAyBAziKzpBnXsqH8.  I think a two stubby walk into the centre of town, and then we can choose.  The motel we've booked is near Edis PArk.

But that's only a one-stubby walk, but I suppose we could walk to the pub and then walk back.

I'm planning Saturday's ride to Kyabram something along the lines of this route.

https://goo.gl/maps/jrwNTQ54FW19bCsh9

Leaving St Helena around 11:00am, should have us at the Heathcote bakery around 12:30pm, a leisurely lunch and then ride to Kyabram.  Anyone wanting ride company is welcome to join us anywhere between and including St Helena and Kyabram.

Send a PM, SMS or whatever and we can arrange a location and time to meet.
