I'm registered for an FR1200G- if it goes pear shaped it will be an FR10, or maybe a g'day for lunch.   >:()

There's a reasonable chance of up to 2 mm of rain.
Biggles, you might want to check the rules on that one, pretty sure if you registered for a specific ride and change your mind during the ride then it ends up as a DNF.

Correct, it is a pre registered ride, unlike IBA where if You have the right documentation you work out what rides you have done (within reason)

Yep, I know the rules.  It will be a DNF, unless I change it before the cut-off tonight.

Sounds more like it's a case of get home with your points and wallet intact!

I deduce Operation Saturation is some kind of ramped-up NSW "road safety" campaign targeting motorcyclists.

Arrived in Nambucca Heads about 9.30pm last night after 1032 K for the day . . Went to bed around 1.15 am . . . Now for another 200 K before 11 am . . A bit of a rest this afternoon and after a 9.00 am breakfast with some mates tomorrow morning, leave for home. I think I may overnight somewhere on the way back . . My bod isn't use to this again yet . . Last long ride I did was back in September with John Saaz and Paul Sayers. With Lionel Haynes and John Nagle

A couple of pix from my ride to Nambucca yesterday and today.

I had decided to give the run north a purpose, so planned on visiting the Boolboonda tunnel north of Mt Perry.  Diesel had given me advice on getting there.  It's 192 metres long, unlined and unsupported- just hand hewn from the rock.

Here's a general view of the bikes in Nambucca this morning.  Others will have more pix- a good representation from OzSTOC there, as has been the case lately.  Over 120 attendees!

No lap of the mountain this time, but I went through the mountains. Bylong Valley way, then Lithgo and on to Jenolan caves (all sealed, but very narrow in parts and tight narrow 15kph switchback turns you can't see around), back way towards Oberon then Shooters Hill road to Taralga, then across to Crookwell (only 3 kms of good surface open gravel road now, new bits are great surface 70 and 80kph corners), then Gunning, Gundaroo, cut across towards Murrumbateman then take the Nanima Road back home.  2600kms to do a 1600km there and back the shortest way.
