Wanted: Bagster Tank cover for ST1300
« on: January 23, 2019, 06:27:33 AM »
Hi Everyone, I'm wondering if someone has a Bagster tankcover available that is surplus to their needs. Let me know how much, including postage to Sydney if your'e too far away.
I have a blue ST1300, so a cover in blue, charcoal, grey, black would be great.
Thanks in advance

You might have to rob the bank and buy a new one.  At least you'll get the colour you want.  Carsten in Tassie bought my blue one yeas ago hoping to dye it black only to find the vinyl wouldn't take a dye.  I don't know what he did with it.  I kept the blue tankbag and still use it on my red cover.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Ahh the legendary travels of the Blue Bagster Tank Cover :grin

The story starts some time ago when Biggles brought the Blue Bagster Tank Cover.
Biggles resided in Aspley Queensland at the time and from there took the Blue Bagster Tank Cover out on many adventures.

Some time passed and the Blue Bagster Tank Cover was sold to Carsten and traveled to Tassie.
While in Tassie Carsten tried to change the colour of the Blue Bagster Tank Cover however like a leopard changing it's spots it didn't work.

Then along a Shiney young bloke who was looking for a Bagster Tank Cover for his Blue ST.
Well Carsten was happy to sell the Blue Bagster Tank Cover so it traveled back to Queensland to a suburb called Strathpine (just a couple of suburbs from it's original home in Aspley).

The Blue Bagster Tank Cover was in my possession as long as I rode the Blue ST and went on more adventures before both the Blue Bagster Tank Cover and the Blue ST were sold.
Draco purchased them and they traveled to Chermside (a couple of suburbs the other side of Aspley).

The legend of the Blue Bagster Tank Cover doesn't stop here as Draco is continuing to take it out on many more adventures. Who knows where it will go next.

The end?

Cheers
Shiney

That is one word, three consonants and one vowel.

I have one.  A black one. It's literally brand new, unused and in the original packaging just as it arrived from CTA.

"Why?" I hear you ask.  Well, it's like this...  I wanted one for our Melbourne trip in October. I umm'd and aahh'd over the colour and finally settled on black.  As it turned out it didn't quite arrive in time so I borrowed one from Draco for the trip.  It was sitting here waiting for me when I returned.

But while we were away I met a guy on a red and white CB1300 who had a matching red+white tank cover.  "Ooooh", says Steve.  "I didn't know you could get all artsie with the colours".  So when we got back I got into a bit of photoshop and mocked up a black cover with white panels.  Bagster said they could make it no problem so I treated Strudel to a fancy multi-colour cover.  It should arrived shortly.  Hopefully STrudel won't look like a dairy cow when he is wearing it >:()

My black one does not have the 'Pan European' embossing.  That's a feature, not a fault.  I ordered it that way because "we don't call them Pans over here".  I would have liked it with 'ST1300' embossing but they couldn't do it.

So if you fancy a brand new black one at a discount off RRP then I'm your man.
