Did you end up finding a towbar?  I have one on my st1100 that I don't need if it is any use to you.  I don't know if it would fit a 1300 though.... let me know if interested. Cheers Chris.

For What is worth, get a new one. The new ones from Classic Ind look very nice and all the hardware is there.

It's always easier to fit a new part than second hand.
Having said that it is interesting fitting a towbar.

Did you get a Towbar?
I'm in Melbourne and took one off my 2nd Hand 2004 ST1300 about two years ago.
Couldn't bear to get rid of it (You know "Just in case").
But if someone else can get some good use, let me know.  I'll dust it off and send you details.
It is a commercial set up with flat 7 pin plug (no cable).  Mounts up under the tail lights and doubles up off the Muffler bolts.
