Wanted ST1300 Radiator hoses
« on: May 01, 2014, 09:01:06 PM »
Caught up on some needed maintenance today and went in search of the common ST1300 wee wee issue, after finding the culprits I ordered a number of coolant system hoses through Honda and the Top & Bottom radiator hoses are not available until the 3rd week of May  :||||  :|||| all others available..... :grin

Have 2 rides on BEFORE the parts can arrive...... :-X  :-[

SO has anyone got the Top and Bottom radiator hoses I need NEW in Genuine Honda for a ST1300 (2009)......just stashed in the shed awaiting a rainy day ??? Can have them back to you by late May.

Cheers  :popcorn

Perhaps take the old hoses as a sample to repco and supa cheap or even your local radiator repair shop, you will likely find something simmilar in shape and can be cut to size in the interim...just an idea

Thanks Zev, but don't wish to de-Tupperware and drop the coolant, and remove the radiator again......plan is to not go back in there for some time  :popcorn

If the ST13 is like the ST11, I never found proper fitting top and bottom radiator hoses that fitted in the space well enough - either just the wrong diameter or the wrong shape.  All other hoses can be replaced by generic automotive hoses that tend to be heavier duty.

You must be getting used to it BB....

If it makes you feel better, after some initial misfortunes getting to Ballarat I was going to turn back home, and if I could not register the ST1100 was going to drive to Ballarat as Plan C.

Bump........anyone ??

Well all my house duties have been undertaken so the rest of the day is putting Humpty Dumty (STig) back together again to avoid aforementioned shame !! ......minus the new radiator hoses, which he didn't really need but didn't wish to venture back there in the near future......at only 50,000k they should be fine until next coolant change  ++

Hoses should be fine. I only replaced the ST1100 radiator hoses as I had to remove the radiator to do the timing belt at 150,000kms.
