WANTED 1300 Pannier
« on: April 10, 2015, 01:57:44 PM »
Hey guys I now in the market for a complete left pannier to fit 1300 anyone know were I could get one.

Well here's the story I was taking photo's of my Corbin seat last night and put it back in the dark not realizing I did not lock it properly so after doing a 80klm today I hit a pothole when I heard something behind me I looked into the mirror and seen my pannier sliding down the highway of 4 lanes I pulled over as it was in one piece still sitting between the 2nd and 3rd lane on the white line after running back 120m got there only to see that a truck with the wind blew it into the path of another 2x b-doubles leaving just shredded plastic behind my heart sunk I was guttered the slow walk back to my bike reminded me how important the basic safety check is BOY did I learn something today

I just checked for the part numbers from Blue City Motorcycles. Unlike the 1100 you can't order the whole case as a complete unit. Just in case you need to go new. It's possible you might find a good used body and need to buy a new lid.

Body  81301-MCS-G01ZB ---- About $AUD830 ---- UK price 288 pound or $AUD554 at todays rates
Lid     81305-MCS-770ZA                 $AUD770 ----              328           or $AUD630  "   "         "
Plus shipping --- ????

Much cheaper in the US

Lid    http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-81305-MCS-770ZA.html  and about$AUD400
Body http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-81301-MCS-G01ZB.html  and about$AUD487
Shipping for both items $AUD111 Express or $AUD99

Try out of the UK. I was talking to somebody (can't remember who) that bought a replacement from the UK at a fraction of the cost here...

AU$550 landed, in silver.  Good find TJ.  I observed elsewhere the black one looked dodgy (possible photo fault), but the silver one looks like new.
1/3 local OEM price.
