:Chocies  Give the man a prize. The top bolt is the top shock bolt from an ST1100. It broke in two sometime, with enough of the threaded part protruding to keep the top of the shock in place.  I only found out when I took the side cover off and a bolt head fell out!  I had just come back from the Border Run, but when it actually broke I don't know.  The bolt also started to undo itself even with loctite so I safety wired it. I replaced both bolts with new ones.

Drive shaft joint.

Attaches to the main drive shaft and then joins to the final drive.

There should be about a hundred bits of intimate innard  ST1100 parts spread around your shed, Johnny!

The background looks like a sleeping black cat.  The bolt is a locating pin related to the rear swing arm of an ST1100.
