What the hell are those things, and where do we get one? Not for me so much, but the kids would love them.

Yeah, but where do I put my numberplate?  On my backside?
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Here you go, Dave!  :thumbsup

They are a lot cheaper than I expected. I think I will still pay the extra and get two wheels, though.

My son has a couple of these, and at times has ridden 20 km to work on it.   Their legal status is in question, and his riding group has been lobbying for law change in SA, with legalisation expected rather soon.   Not enough wheels for me....  :grin

Rather soon is open to debate.  There's be talk about the legal status of these and electric scooters for a while now but very little progress.

Personally, I hope they don't legalise them as it's bad enough now with all the morons on e-scooters!  :angry-old-man-smiley-emoticon

I read that this morning and thought how funny it came up when we'd just been discussing them!

Power wise, they are all way over the legal limit for e-scooters so good luck with them trying to make them legal to ride on the road.
Then there's also the issue of no brakes and not being able to keep at least one hand on the handlebar... :p
