Friday 19 June

Currently, travellers entering South Australia directly from Western Australia, Tasmania and Northern Territory are not required to self-quarantine for 14 days.

From midnight tonight, travellers entering SA directly from Queensland will also not be required to self-quarantine.

Travellers entering SA from all other states and territories will still be required to quarantine for 14 days. Quarantine requirements for other states and territories will be eased on 20 July.

On top of that a mention that Victoria might even be extended, although that could be the news saying that rather than official sources.

All said in jest, Michael!  :popcorn

 :thumbs

Today's announcement from the state government suggest my attendance is looking less likely.   :'(

Which State Gov? My understanding of border restrictions is that you can travel from SA to VIC, but not VIC back to SA without 14 days self isolation.  Regardless, I'll leave you on the list, until you ask to be removed.

Please add Richard (Greencan) and Ella to the list.

 :thumbs  :thumbs

So that makes it currently attending:
  • Jonathon & Vera (2)
  • Russell & Sue (4)
  • Gordo (5)
  • Nigel (6)
  • Bodo (7)
  • Garry (8)
  • Michael & Helen (10)
  • Debbie & Rex (12)
  • Wendy & Phil (14)
  • Richard & Ella (16)

Add your or post your intention and I'll add you to the list.

New parking plan in production.

Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

The SA gov.  I have to work the monday so I shan't be crossing into Victoria if I can't get back and back to work.  The way things are changing though who knows what the next announcement will be.  If it's in my favor I intend to see you there.  I'll let you know when to take my name off the list.

A cut 'n' paste from website: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorias-restriction-levels-covid-19
  • Restaurants, pubs, auction halls, community halls, libraries, museums and places of worship will remain at a maximum of 20 people in any one space until 12 July.

After 12 July, we may be allowed more or less people in one place, who knows what will be permitted on Saturday, 18 July, but we'll no soon enough.

Pinched this from Marcus' Facebook post:

Melbourne is effectively getting Stage 3 stay-at-home restrictions for COVID-19 hotspots in Victoria from tomorrow night.  Below is a list of suburbs which are now no go zones:
– 3012 (Brooklyn, Kingville, Maidstone, Tottenham, West Footscray)
– 3021 (Albanvale, Kealba, Kings Park, St Albans)
– 3032 (Ascot Vale, High Point City, Maribyrnong, Travancore)
– 3038 (Keilor Downs, Keilor Lodge, Taylors Lakes, Watergardens)
– 3042 (Airport West, Keilor Park, Niddrie)
– 3046 (Glenroy, Hadfield, Oak Park)
– 3047 (Broadmeadows, Dallas, Jacana)
– 3055 (Brunswick South, Brunswick West, Moonee Vale, Moreland West)
– 3060 (Fawkner)
– 3064 (Craigieburn, Donnybrook, Mickleham, Roxburgh Park and Kalkallo)

I'm pretty sure our that none of our membership or anyone nominated as attending the RTE is from any of the above areas, so providing we will still be welcome at Campbells Creek, the RTE will proceed as planned.

I will be contacting our hosts on or about Thursday 16 July, just to make sure.  Check on here regularly for any updates.

Okay, due partly to the fact that pretty much everyone else has pulled the pin on this RTE, Sue & I have reluctantly pulled the pin as well.

We had been thinking of still going as (at this stage anyhow) we won't be in lockdown like many others but, from what Dan Andrews has had to say, we can't actually travel through the city to get there...so...pin pulled.  :cuss

I guess we can thank our lucky stars there's no confirmed covid cases in South Gippsland...yet...  :X

CANCELLED

Well, as most of you already know (via Facebook Messenger or SMS) the RTE is cancelled due to current VIC COVID travel restrictions.

The current restrictions are for six weeks, so I'll look at some RTE options for Saturday 29 August or Saturday 5 September.

Stand by for updates, but don't hold your breath waiting, as I won't start a thread until after restrictions are relaxed.

We explored the possibility of skirting around Melbourne to get up to Castlemaine (as we still had accommodation booked there) but as the lockdown area actually extends right across from "Matlock" and down the Mornington Peninsula we are effectively cut off from from travelling west or north.

Oh well, at least we can still get out and about unlike many of you poor buggers in lockdown!

Hang in there guys!!!!  :Blow
