No hurry, Glen. Mine has been missing for longer than I have had the bike, but hidden by the (homemade) mount for the Zumo, then my headstem Quad-lock. I am moving the quad out from between the bars and would like to fill the hole if I can.

One less place for a huntsman to hide...

Found one. Are you going to Mudgee?

No I'm not. Can you work out a price, including postage to regional SA? 5311 is the post code. Otherwise, I am on the way from Perth to Mudgee, unless you are planning a run through Broken Hill.

I will be passing through Victor Harbor in both directions. Shall look at a price. Do you need the two screws that hold it on?

I'm up for a ride to Taplin so would be quite happy to be a courier from Victor Harbor for you.

Thanks Bodo, that sounds good. I have checked out Loxton but can't find Taplin on Google Maps.

Typo, my bad.  Correct spelling is Taplan.

The screws would be handy, in case mine have gone west (I haven't seen a correct one to notice, so I don't know).

Taplan is east of Loxton, nearly into Victoria. If you are heading to Mudgee from Victor then the Sturt Highway is probably the most direct route, through to Mildura then on into NSW, in which case I am happy to meet you somewhere along the way, or you can make he 70 km detour from Loxton and back again.

Don't have to have an excuse, Bodo, just say when.

Through Ouyen is the shortest. Most likely will be going via Albury and Canberra. Coming back, the plan is to leave Monday morning, overnight Balranald and onto Victor Tuesday to park the bike and get to Adelaide in time for a late flight to Perth. So will probably let Bodo play courier. Shall pm you about the price.

Forgot the Ouyen route...

I could do a run to Pinaroo if we could set a time.

But yeah, the Bodo courier service is probably the easiest.

Hey Glen

This is what I have. If you could let me know what else is missing I would appreciate it.

Hi Dave, those 2 top bolts are not the originals so, you'll need the original 2 bolts and the 2 smaller bolts that actually hold the cover on.
The 2 smaller bolts screw into the heads of the 2 large bolts, see pic below....

Will the originals work with my risers?

The ones I have are threaded- that is how the old GPS bracket was mounted.

What risers do you have, Dave?

I know the risers as fitted to police St1300s use the same centre cover as the standard ST.

I don't know what they actually are. They were there when I got the bike. They are 35 mm from the cast plate in your pic to the bottom of the bar. As seen in the pic below.

Thanks for the offer, John, but I am unlikely to make another RTE this year.

Looking at the pic Dave posted up I reckon the standard cover is the same shape so I'm thinkin' the risers are off a police ST, if that's the case I believe the cover will fit... :think1

What came of this?  Are my services still required?

Bodo, I met up with Glen in Loxton this morning as he headed home from Mudgee, and collected it myself.

Don't let that stop you from coming for a ride, though, and I do appreciate the offer to play courier.

All fitted.
