If a post is deleted does the author get informed and told why?

Post by: ST2UP on April 19, 2015, 10:38:53 AM: If we delete a post we "generally" advise the original poster of the deletion and why.......so that's GENERALLY as time permits etc, however sometimes you may get caught up in the deletion of a thread by following with a post of your own etc ;-*

I think it would be nice if we did, besides being polite it would allow one to asess how they post so there was no need in the future for ones post to be deleted.

If I was to delete a post of your, or any one for that matter (even Peters posts) then I send an email to the poster. The only time I dont is when I do a thread cleanup to remove a number of off topic/ or getting nasty posts, thyen I will place a post saying "Off topic posts removed" or the like.

As you are one of the better posters, I cant think of any reason a Mod would have deleted a post. I havent deleted any posts for a while, better start exercising my delete finger maybe..
