This will be an overnighter for some.  Book your own accommodation at the Bruthern Inn Hotel (cheap basic rooms, shared facilities - men & ladies separate) or at the Camp Ground (walking distance to the Bullant and the pub, lush green grassy sites, powered & unpowered, clean facilities). 

There is also some B&B's within 10km or 15km, or so.

Whatever your choice, this is a book your own affair.

If some only want to do lunch, it might be easier to start your on thread, please.

Yeah, I was concerned that might happen.  In the meantime, let's see if any others put their hand up for lunch, we could have an overlap and a group pic around 3:00pm, that'll leave you plenty of time to get back to Korumburra.

Mmmmm ... forget about a separate thread, I'll make up lists for lunch and dinner.

After some "discussion" with Sue, we've now decided to make a bit of a weekend of it so we will be attending this rte.  :thumbs

We'll be staying overnight in Bairnsdale...

So...that's 2 more to the dinner list!  :runyay

Thanks to some clever contingency planning by El Presidente, upon hearing the sudden closure of  Bullant Brewery plan B was swiftly put into action and we all converged at the Bruthen Pub. Turned out to be a great evening with good food, live entertainment and great company . Thanks Michael for organising  :Like:

Thanks to all involved for yet another great RTE!  :runyay

We headed off from our overnight accommodation in Bairnsdale at 10am.
After fueling up we headed out of town, (spotting JD & Vera heading in the opposite direction) destination Buchan...
After checking out the Buchan Caves park and spending some dollars at the store we then headed to Nowa Nowa and then on to Lakes Entrance.
It was packed with tourists and not being able to spot an icecream shop we decided to keep on going...

A quick photo stop at the lookout overlooking the Entrance and then it was back on the road.

After cruising back through Bairnsdale, traffic started to build on the highway so I made the decision to take the alternative route via Bengworden.
We got back on the highway the other side of Sale, the next destination Rosedale as, by now our backsides were telling us it was time to take a break...

One hot chocolate and a cake later and it was time to make tracks again, next stop home...

After arriving home just before 5, I'm happy to report Sue gave the new Sargent seat her seal of approval!  :rockon  :hatwave

Here's hoping the new Delkevics fair just as well when they eventually arrive... :whistle

Thanks to Michael for arranging the Bruthen overnight RTE. It was an enjoyable night. It is good to see that everyone made it back home safe. I had a good trip over the top of Hotham going both ways. The number of motorcycles on the Sunday as they were heading Gippsland way was quite a sight to see. I did manage to catch up with another ST rider in Harrietville and he was unaware of OzStoc. He was going to look OzStoc up once he was back home. We may see another rider join the ranks. Until the next time stay safe all.

Yeah, a good weekend, ride (to and from), venue, meal, cool refreshers and company.  Thanks to Jonathton & Vera, Russ & Sue, Mark, Laurie (a mate of Mark's, a DL1000 rider, a Ulyssian, a FarRider and a local - from Nicholson) and Helen.

Where's Vera's pics?

Bullant closed (perhaps that explains why they didn't return my phone calls), I wasn't concerned because I knew the Bruthen Inn Hotel has an excellent meal, and Saturday's effort was true to form.

Over the weeks, months and years that I've been organising RTE, this is the 4th time the venue has changed, previous this was Yarram, Skipton, Whorouly and (now) Bruthen.

Hi all, Sorry we could not be there. Have open wounds on leg (skin graft did not take so to risky). Have not been on bike since last june. Getting better slowly hope to ride the bike soon. Denis Diane.
