Very interesting! I would save $1000 over 5 years if I switched to a plug-in hybrid instead of my 6 cyl petrol sedan, using my own home solar power (including 10kWh battery). I would lose that $1000 to the loss of Feed In Tariff. So break even, I guess. I'll keep the "polluter" for performance, range, interior space and convenience.
