Have been running Continental trail attack 2's on the KTM, average 15,000 k, great grip for a 80/20 tire.
For the trip to Mackay I have ordered a set of Continental road attack 3's from Riders domain (Jake Wilson) after reading glowing reports.
Will report back after the trip.

Front:   PR4
Rear:   Avon Spirit ST

I have been running the Pilot Road tyres for years and they are great, but I have decided to give the Avon Spirit ST a go this time around (I'll let everyone know how they go after I have been using them for a while)

Cheers

I've been running Pirelli Angel ST and they have great grip but am disappointed that the rear has gone after only 13,000Km. Front might make 20,000km but will not be using them again. This is on my CF Moto 650 so not a heavy bike or too powerful and I don't ride hard. Pressures have been kept at 5 psi above what CFM recommend too. Have a Mitchelin to go on the rear and will probably replace both before the Darwin trip in May.

Pirelli angel GT
Great tyres and loads of grip
I took the st1100 to a track day at eastern creek and they never looked like letting go

Just fitted a set of Bridgestone T31s and so far they are miles ahead of the BT023s that they've replaced.

My experience with Pirelli angle GT has been less than impressive. They are a great grippy tyre but the rear was gone in 13,000Km and the front is now at 12,000km and is almost gone. I thought these might do much better on a 650cc but will be looking to Michelin for next time.

I wish I'd read this thread before putting T31 battleax's on my ST... I now run 42/42 and still fight it on anything other than a mild corner....sigh... I miss my PR's

Recently had Michelin Road 6 fitted as Pirelli no longer make Angel GT 'A' carcass to fit the ST1300. Biggles says they go all right so must be good
One day you will wake up and there won't be anymore time to do the things you've always wanted so do them NOW!!!
Remember there are 7 days in a week and Someday isn't one of them!

I’m with you on that.  STrudel was wearing T31s when we first got him.  Shocking. Since then I’ve mostly run PRs. But last year we picked up a big chunk of metal in a near-new Road6, and being a long way (2 state borders) from home decided to replace rather than plug it.  The only tyre of the correct size at the shop was a Bridgestone A41 so that was an easy choice.
The A41 is not bad.  My pillion found it softer on bumps but felt less happy with it on tight twisties.  From the rider’s perspective the A41 doesn’t seem as willing to lean into corners as the Road6, but it’s okay enough that I’m not in a rush to swap it out.
A man rides on his STeed, says “Why am I short of attention? Got a short little span of attention”.

You can call me Steve, with apologies to Paul Simon.

Just threw some Pirelli Angel GTs on STella.

Different tyre gauge now, but I tried good old 43psi front and back, but handling was poor and dull.

Went up 2lbs and they became lively and how I normally expect STella to handle.

So yes... 2 psi can make quite a difference to your ride chaps and gals. Tyre life is also at its greatest when tyres are inflated correct.  I.e. not too low or high. I can tell by the feel of the bike and steering if my pressures are on point.

Cheers, Diesel
