Had a great weekend.

Thanks Chris for the tour of the sites, well worth it.  And thanks for organising it.
Cheers,
Gary

I got away at 6:00 am after a Meat pie and Flavoured milk from the bakery and had a great run through there most of the way.  Had a bit of heavy Fog to contend with early and had to keep wiping the visor to maintain vision.

I was probably 30 km out of Grafton when a big male Eastern Grey jumped out on the road and propped.  Big emergency braking from about 80-90 km/h and I pulled up 5 meters short of him and then he decided to hop down the road (in my direction) at 30 km/h for about 300 meters before jumping back off into the grass.  After that it was all cruisy all the way home.  Stopped for breakfast at Macca Grafton and morning tea stop at Byron.

Bit disappointed to be overtaken by so many red and green P Platers  :law on the Pacific Highway though in NSW and Qld when I wasn't exactly going slow.

On the Gateway I thought I was going to see a lady rider ahead of me in the right lane get run over by a bloke in a White Commodore Ute who came out of nowhere to tailgate me until I moved over and then he shot past me and was tailgating her and not looking at the road all the time, busy fidgeting with something on his front seat, swerving all over a lane and a half, So I blasted the Stebel about four times so she'd know to look back.  Thankfully she moved over and he went on his reckless way.   :law

Will upload some photos of my trip later.

Cheers,
Gary

Here's a link to my photos for the trip.

I've included photos of the room I got at the Hotel/Motel.  I'd booked a Queen sized Bed with ensuite, for $90, but there was a stuff-up and the room hadn't been cleaned, so they gave me the Queen with Spa for the same price.  Very comfortable!.

We had an easy run to Dorrigo. Good to be out of the smoke (from bush fires in ranges) and breath some good clean air. Nice lunch with great people, local tour with tour guide Chris just getting back to hotel as storm hit, dinner and bed in the upstairs room on the corner of the veranda. Home after leisurely breakfast (included in room price) with plenty of stops for looking at things. ST didn't miss a beat or have any dramas.  Are these a great bike to travel on of what?
