Done the meals mate, but got a knock back on the Moomba Park accommodation. Apparently, Bookings.com sold me a room that was no longer available. I’ve now got a campsite booked at Camp Banksia. I’ll stay in my tent. All good!

Booking confirmed with Camp Banksia.
Check in now friday the 15th at 2:30pm at the earliest due to a group departing after lunch. I have been assured that Ruben has been cast out to the boonies on account of his timber cutting impersonations  |-i

Did we ever find out what the meal choices for Friday and Saturday night were?

........ What meal choices are there?

I will endeavour to obtain some meal info from the Tassie team.

I have eight potential Saturday evening meal bookings pending, just need to have an idea what's on offer, some won't commit at this stage.
Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

I'll try and publish a menu for everyone shortly, but remember, it's a camp - not a restaurant. There'll be a selection of roast meats and vegies, plus another few options. Stay tuned.

Here is the menu...

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your phone call today.

In regard to our conversation please see list below of dishes that Camp Banksia will supply for your Saturday night evening meal.

Served along a line of Bain Marie’s will be:

Main Meal

Roast Chicken
Roast lamb
Roast Potato
Roast Pumpkin
Cauliflower Cheese
Steamed Broccoli
Steamed Carrots
Ratatouille – (vegetarian/vegan option)
Mint jelly & Gravy
Bread rolls with butter

Dessert

Chocolate Fudge with hot chocolate Sauce & Ice-cream
Meringue with fruit salad & cream

Breakfast will be the usual fare of selection.

The initial course is served by the staff as we file past the bain maries, and then we are left to serve ourselves for second helpings after that. I believe staff will serve dessert too.

Hope this helps.

I have registered for Tassie, but have not booked passage, accommodation or meals, but will do if our WA trip ends timely enough for me to fit Tassie trip in.
