Chris and I are still going, but we will probably take the ute, as we don't fancy riding for three days in 38-40 temps, and crossing Melbourne twice in 40 degrees.    Are we still welcome if we're not on the ST?

It will only be 40 degrees, heck that would mean we would have to wear a jumper up here  :beer

Does anyone want to meet up and ride down together, I live in Melbourn Northern suburbs but can meet in East or dandenong ranges, prefer to go via the hills roads as Eastlink is so boring.

Cheers,

Hendo

I was looking to go through Healesville, Gembrook, Pakenham and Kooweerup. Looking to be in Healesville around 9.30 - 10.00 if that suits you to meet up anywhere along that route.

Gordo,

How about we meet up at Beechworth Bakery in Healesville about 10am. Will give us plenty of time to cruise down to Caldermeade.

Everyone else is welcome to join in.

Cheers,

Hi all, not sure what time I can get away. Hopefully i can catch up with you guys for the ride in? I am sort of stuck until 1030. Want to come in the most friendly route,  probably a bit of freeway involved , cause of the temp!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : Had a few family issues scrunch my time but will be there.
Be good..  See you all>>> Be safe>

Thanks to everyone for turning up. It was a great day, good turn out and good food.

It only got to 46 degress on the freeway between Melbourne and Deer Park. The rest of the way home was a cool 41

Chris and I had a great time, despite taking the ute over from SA because of the hot weather. We stayed Friday night at Ballarat and on Saturday morning  Marcus and SulkyBear collected us from our digs and lead us through Melbourne.   My week of prayer and meditation before tackling the Melbourne traffic was a week well spent!    We had a great lunch at Caldermeade and it was wonderful to catch up with old friends and new.    It was also great to see Garry (ppopeye) and Chris come along, but not on the bike.   Ppopeye just picked up his 2008 RED ST1300 on Friday, and not haven ridden for 25-30 years, was a bit reluctant to take the trip until he's got some confidence back.   Goodonyagarry!!   :thumbs  Keep an eye out for him on future Vic RTE's.

Hi all,
A quick Thankyou for the RTE at Caldermaed Farm from Val & I, we've just got home. After Marcus's post of Tania at the Deer Park servo, our swim and overnight at Inverloch would have been a lot more comfortable than what you guys had to endure yesterday getting home.
Our shirts should be here this week, sorry but us older heads have a lot of trouble remembering the names to all the new faces. :H :slvr13
See you in Ballarat
Cheers
Neil
