Title: removal of front wheel bearings on ST1100
Post by: muf on August 04, 2015, 02:18:58 PM
Question:  does anybody know if a backyard mechanic is able to make a tool to remove the front wheel bearings from my ST1100, after returning from a 350 klm roadtrip and cleaning the bike, it came to notice that thick black grease was on the inside of the right hand side brake disc, wow, am I glad the ride was no further, could have resulted in a serious situation

I use a 25mm dynabolt, just tighten it up and knock it out from the other side.

Another trick once the bearings are out is to cut a groove in the spacer so you can more easily knock the bearings out. Yorkie's solution far neater
