Have you spotted a Versys 1000?
Let me know. (http://www.footballnews.com.au/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

On an ST forum? Just as well our mods are softies ;-*
Yeah my mates got one. I'll snap a photo next time I see him.

Isn't that why we have an other bikes subforum? I've only ever seen one on the road once. Seen a couple in shops though. Very underrated bike.

Sorry. I’d never noticed the ‘other bikes’ sub forum. A thousand apologies. :chocolate-box-smiley-emoticon

Well it was a Versys with green trim, not sure if a 1000 or other variant.
Adelaide Road Murray Bridge at around 8.30

:think1 Growly hung around in here that long, they felt sorry for him and set him up his own page ;-* :grin

I have a mate that has one which I took for a ride recently. What a great bike. It's a 2017 model so doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the new SE, but it was beautiful to ride. I'd have to change the standard screen though. The ST is a hard act to follow regarding weather protection.

Whats a Versys????
-
It's an extremely underrated bike. Basically Kawasaki got a V-strøm and improved it. :Stirpot
-
Perhaps a bit like soccer and Aussie Rules. First there was soccer and then it was improved and we have Aussie rules :Stirpot
-
Whilst I disagree, I'll pay that one. :rofl
-
I actually suspect you are right Bodo, the Kwaka is very underrated, particularly when you consider what you get for the $. I went for the V-Strom because the motor is renown for reliability, 2 cylinders (compared to 4 in line) tend to have a bit more low down power and so a bit better for a bit of off road work and for me (and this is the real reason) it came at the right time and right price. If had been a Versys available etc I suspect I would have bought it. The other thing I know is - if the trip is to be 100% good sealed road, I'd take the ST every time.

Not an ST, but an OzSTOC'r on a Kwaka Versys
Bodø turning from Greenhill Road to head up Glen Osmond on Tuesday in his split shift for work.
I've just refuelled it, sprayed the chain and parked it up for sunday. The Xmax will take me to work this afternoon.
-
Mitch is now riding one so followed/lead it all the way to the border and back last weekend :grin
-
There wasn't one at the Finniss RTE on sunday. :rofl
-
A nice green one on the Horrocks Highway today.
-
Last one I saw was at Harrow!😁
-
:rofl
I’m sure you saw one at Border Run 2019.
-
2019 - that must have been when I went there with JWT and he was on BeeSTy?
Forgot about that one.
-
Not a 1000, but the Adelaide City Council have swapped from Honda CB's to the Versys 300 for their sticker lickers it seems

They did that a few years ago.
