I notice that the Echuca WE is still on the ride map for November. Assuming this is not on I noticed another bike club went to the Poowong Pub recently. That sounds like an interesting ride.  Riders from Melbourne area or west of Melb. Could go through Powelltown to Morwell to Poowong. What do members think? I know the last Vic. Ride is in Inverloch which is the same general direction but it is in the hills.

Has anyone been there?

Thoughts for the remainder of 2015

Firstly the RTE map still shows Echuca in November.

Secondly, I think it would be good to have an RTE in November. And maybe ?? December.

i saw an article about a ride to the Poowong Pub. Sort of near Inverloch though.

Also the Briagalong Pub looks ok.

So the questions are. Do we want to meet in December?
Do we want to have a ride east of Melbourne one month and west in the other.
Any other ideas?

Perhaps either Echuca/Poowong early November and the other can be the first weekend of December. As the previous RTE is in late September. Maybe post and check the water? From Bayswater my place,  Poowong 100k`s Echuca about 295 K`s.Thoughts............. :wht11

Omeo would be good . . Oh wait we did that in May . . Well a Sunbury Lad and a couple of Territorians did . .

But seriously . . The pub was great, food was great and the riding very twisty . . Snow was white and kool . .

One of my favourite spot to meet up with a few other riders is at Martians Cafe in Dean's Marsh. I'll often head down the Great Ocean Rd to Lorne (always some nice bikes to check out at the Arab Cafe) then up over the hill to Martians for breaky. They do good honest grub at a decent price, and have some great blues bands come through there too. If nothing has been locked in for a Nov or Dec ride, I'll nominate that one, even though it's not actually too long of a ride for me!

I have noticed the South Australians have a mid week coffee run once a month. Is there an interest in something like that next year????????

Sure, in my quieter season (ie, now!) that would be entirely doable
