well i am stranded...no damned indicators.
Does any one have spare flasher unit (keep it clean boys) or know of a place (apart from the Honda STealers) where I could get one.

I saw some electronic ones down at supercheap that looked similar, but have not tried one myself.  May be worth taking it in to check.  The unit is the same for the indicators and the 4 way hazard flashers, so police models always carry a spare.

Reminds me that I need to put something in here    If you come across one that works I can add it to the list.

Are you sure it's the indicator relay. I ended up replacing the left hand switch block as my indicators were intermittent. Sometimes they'd work, sometimes the left wouldn't. Then they failed.
While I was living at Karratha and on a trip to Perth a dealer supplied an aftermarket part which didn't do the job and it blew the fuses. I found the part number and went off shore.

I should have asked whether you have checked the indicator fuse first.  Any relay will have to be rated for the bulb loading to get the right flashing rate.  Pricey for what they are. Even aftermarket ones are not so cheap to play around with to see if they will work.

What I have just realised is that I added an led set to each pannier which may have contributed to an extra load on the unit.
But I also noticed that the top of the unit was damaged and was lifting up on one side.

I have looked at the Narva site and may actually try one of the electronic units designed for LED's and change over the three pin plug
I will be checking with my parts friend tomorrow as well

I doubt if the LED would cause to much trouble. I  tow a trailer which used to have standard globes and now has LED lights and no problems with indicator relay under normal use. I did buy another relay from the site I stated before but never used it. I replaced switch block but have kept the relay just in case.

Before going and spending any petrol money on bits, try taking the switch block apart, and spraying the switch mechanism out with CRC, RP7, WD40. Its amaing the amout og crap that builds up in their.

Just ubdo the two philips screws and gently work the switch block apart. No bits will spring out and run away. Then its just a matter of gently working everything back together and testing.

And Brock your idea although sound does not work in this instance as it is or was a sealed unit made by misuba
a small circuit board + component secured into the case via aryldite.

will sort something out anyway and let you all know -how what and where

I was talking about the indicator switch, not the flasher can. My indicators cut out as well, and a clean out of the switch worked  wonders.

Sorry Brock a misunderstanding on my part there.
I had already done that when trying to get my passing button to work and then found that 2 of the wires had been deliberately cut for that.
there is the possibility that reconnecting those 2 wires is what caused the indicator problem, I did disconnect them and still no positive result which led me to check the relay, so will see what happens tomorrow.

The passing switch has/had been modified to be used as a transmit switch.

As Brock said, some police conversions used the passing switch for the PTT. Should have nothing to do with the indicators.  I thought about converting mine but thought the passing flash may come in handy.

Well guys it turned out the problem was two fold..
It was the Passing switch which did cause the initial problem
Blowing fuses
Second problem was owners eyes and glasses and maybe some @#* stress (wanted to go for a ride) 
Been to Optomatrist  had eyes checked and ordered new glasses.
WHY - I did not see the blown fuse at first glance 
Anyway its all good now.
