Title: Loxton Ride
Post by: StinkyPete on February 02, 2020, 05:16:20 PM
This weekend I went on a lovely weekend ride with my daughter.   She's been pretty busy with her two little boys, so we decided a father/daughter weekend would be a great break.    On Friday night/Saturday morning the skies opened up with lots of much needed rain and we considered cancelling, byt by 10.00am there was a hole in the weather radar and we deciced to go for it.   It was a wet ride through the Adelaide Hill, with a break at the Mt Pleasant Bakery for a much needed hot coffee and snack, and another break at Swan Reach.   On arrival in Loxton we did a little tour of the town where we took the kids when they were little, and then to the supermarket to get some stores to cook up for tea.  A beaut evening was spent sharing some drinks, chatting, and sleeping in front of the TV.    This morning we were blessed with clear blue skies and had a lovely ride home.    This was Judy's first longer ride on a motorcycle and I reckon she's hooked.

Here's the view of the River Murray from our cabin, and from the Big Bend Lookout.

Awesome.  Thanks for sharing.  I only rode to Blair Athol yesterday morning and the humidity killed me on the way home (0930~1000ish).

If you've got her hooked perhaps we'll see her at an RTE one day.

Great Pete
Both my girls love being on the bike
My youngest Daughter Shelly came on a overnighter to Port Macquarie a few years ago
Even though the temperature got up to 40° she thought it was good but since my off I'm not sure if I want to pillion anymore as arm hasn't regained full strength
