hi yorl....

For those in Perth who are heading to Adelaide for the rally next year... are you interested in a coffee somewhere local in Perth to exchange plans/ideas for the trip?... and to allow absolute newbies like me to pick your brains?

I was thinking in the next few weeks (say, Sunday 11/11) somewhere central to Perth?

Cheers, Rob.

OK, not so central .... I figured we might as well take in some scenery. Also pushed back a few more weeks to make it easier for us all to get a leave pass.

Date: 25th November
Time: 10:00
Venue: Mundaring Weir Dome Cafe

You can choose to cruise via the weir as desired.

Come along - even if you're not going to Adelaide as Brock suggests. I'm sure everyone has an "experience" they can share.

R.

Had to go to Perth today, it was thrilling. Passing through Mundaring I stopped in at Dome, as th eplace is popular with bikers on weekends I took the liberty of reserving a table for 12 at 10am Sunday under Ozstoc.

Anything specific you want to know as I've done crossed the Nullarbor 4 or 5 times on the bike and three times in the car.

Hi Alan, Nothing specific (yet). I've never done it, car or otherwise. I'm not planning on taking a diect route (other than the Nullarbor) so that I can take in some of the sights along the way, taking my time to do it. So, I'm keen to find out about others' routes, timing, group riding, expectations, gotchas, hazards, etc.

There's a few posts elsewhere related to the rally that discuss things to see and do on the way, so I'll hammer that for the touristy bits. Right now I want to start getting my s**t together to ensure it's as comfortable and safe as possible.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
