Getting out and about
« on: January 20, 2019, 08:22:01 AM »
I have managed to get 2 rides in this week  :grin
On Tuesday 3 mates and myself headed off at 7am from Toowoomba down to Warwick then over to Killarney for a late Breakfast at the cafe across from the park
I enjoyed bacon & eggs and a coffee we thwn walked across to the newsagent and shared a powerball mega pick
Only getting a small prize not the 10 million  :well
Then we rode back through Yangan then back into Warwick only to be pulled up bt the police and breath tested but we were all good then home to Toowoomba 240km all up

Then yesterday 4 mates 2 with their partners were heading off on a overnighter to Coffs Harbour so I rode down to Stanthorpe with them. This time a toasted sandwich and coffee after a chat they had to coninue on their way
I would had loved to be going on with them but there is already another day. I headed back to Toowoomba
300km all up and feeling good
Since my regular helmet a Shoei Neotec copped a fair wack in my fall in Adelaide I have been using a Shark Evoline which I find very uncomfortable mainly because it is a bit tight. Shannon Insurance paid out to get a new helmet so I will go get the Shoei Neotec 2
Looking forward to the next ride  :runyay

Awesome Leo! That’s great news. It’s been a long time coming.
A man rides on his STeed, says “Why am I short of attention? Got a short little span of attention”.

You can call me Steve, with apologies to Paul Simon.

Excellent length of rides.
I have a Shoei head, and recently bought a new Ryd (the replacement for the old XR-1100).
I'm finding the cheek pads a bit tight.  The recesses for the speakers could be 1mm deeper.  And the press stud for the strap end is a bit too high up the strap, being half under the pad.  Apart from that it's a good fit and very quiet.
But the Neotec is the top of the Shoei line, especially with the built-in intercom.  Jealous!   :wink1
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

You can order different size cheek pads as I did when I bought mt first Neotec
It was a medium one I changed the cheek pads it made all the difference. I got them from Team Moto Virginia
The only thing with the built in intercom you have to buy the one to fit the Neotec 2 which is not cheap
I just can't use the Sena SMH10 like I got
