ST1100, ST1300 and older bike spares
« on: January 27, 2013, 03:32:35 PM »
I have just consolidated all the suggestions for places to go to for parts, both locally and internationally.  I will leave in the subsequent posts as they may have further information in them, or at least those who have used and recommend the place.

www.findapart.com.au  A central place to ask wreckers and other suppliers about parts.

http://www.bluecitymotorcycles.com.au/  a local online supplier.

I use this site to get my part numbers http://www.st-1100.com/st1100-parts.html

I use this site for most of my orders http://www.discounthondaparts.com/default.asp

and if I can't get it there then it's http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/

For low priced items I'll use the local dealer.

http://www.internationalmotoparts.com/oemparts/c/honda_motorcycle/parts?gclid=CNvL5YX757kCFYpcpQodxVoAjg  Here is another mob who ship internationally.

http://www.cmsnl.com/ in the US has been mentioned as another source of parts. Not as customer service oriented as Davidsilver, but it is at least another place to look.  Also, may not be as cheap as davidsilver.

http://www.mrcycles.com/custompage.asp?pg=australia  Here is another one in the US. They give Australian customers a $10 discount on every purchase over $75.
Very fast service and have a hell of a lot of parts at cheap prices  :thumbsup.

I fitted a highflow pump a few months back. They are not the complete unit like the honda oem pump, however, its a straightforward job. You will need to cut the two wires and solder on new terminals, and make up a spacer, as the highflow pump is a little narrower than the oem pump. They work well, solve the problem, and dont break the bank....

A replacement fuel pump for the ST1100.  Mine had the typical heat and altitude failure last year, but after a rest it decided to work.  Conditions were tank on the last 3rd of fuel, up at falls creek after a spirited ride up steep roads and a warm day.  may not happen again, so thinking about doing the replacement anyway.

John,

Not a bad price if it's the complete unit.

Just sourced what I need to replace the ST13 fuel filter from the States.

Discount Honda:  $55.41  freight: $51.99  = $107.40  only offer Express freight
Parts Fish:   $53.71   freight: $44.50        = $ 98.21
Mr Cycles:  $59.73  didn't bother with his freight
Partzilla:  $49.75   freight:  $39.99           = $ 89.74   offer choice of Express or standard

We're being robbed by the freight cartel.

Peter Hill's website didn't work
Barry Francis came in at $113.78 plus postage.

So Partzilla looks good.  Current exchange rate puts it around $95.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

We're being robbed by the freight cartel.

We have been getting robbed for the past few years since online purchasing became popular, I am finding prices are comparable from local dealer who doesn't charge freight.

Wandering the web in the wee hours I came across this site for ST1300 part numbers plus other parts lists too; thought someone might have need of it:
