Can anyone identify this? my daughter found it in York.
-
No, but it's the ugliest excuse for a bike I've ever seen.
The headlight on a stalk and the seat way down low...
And that front mudguard :eek
I know it's early in the development of bikes, but there are far more attractive bikes from that era.

I hope its not the NEW ST1300 Ballarat Special 2014 I dont want first ride :rofl
-
FJR?
-
It's got to be a Harley...............only they could make bikes that ugly

It's fairly easily identifiable as a very odd bike called a Ner-a-Car.
They were never a bit hit.
Here's a link to some info. http://www.bikeexif.com/1921-ner-a-car (http://www.bikeexif.com/1921-ner-a-car)
Is there a prize??? :grin

Thanks Pete, I might have to check the possibility of obtaining it.
-
At least the one on the website has the headlight moved onto the side.
It's obvious I didn't appreciate its amazing innovations.
And there were 1600 built. Not hard to see why there are only 100 still around. They would have driven themselves to the dump in shame.
Yeah, Diesel, there is a family resemblance with the FJR, but I think the Harley parallels are much stronger.
