Hello from the UK
« on: April 02, 2020, 07:13:34 AM »
Hi Guys N gals

Thanks for allowing me to join.

I currently live in the UK but spend a large amount of time travelling to and from Tunisia where we have a property

I currently own a 1996 ST1100 along with 2 BMW K1100LT's and a R1200GS that lives over in Tunisia.

The ST is my 1st pan and I am finding it a different beast altogether compared to the BM's. It seems to be more of a sedate hooligan type bike compared to the armchair on wheels with the LT's and the go anywhere GS.

The plan later this year is to either ride one of the BM's or the Pan over to Tunisia and then transport the others after. Cameras will be installed on the "lucky" bike along with helmet cam.

Thanks again

Hi forester, and welcome to OzSTOC from South Australia.  :hatwave  Nearly two years ago I moved from an ST1300 to a '16 BMW R1200RT.   Both are wonderful touring bikes and I've travelled extensively around Oz on both.

Hi Forester. Welcome to the fray. It sounds like you have plenty of choice when it comes to riding- two countries and three bikes!
We'll all enjoy seeing your videos when you film them.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
