Well, other than the Weather being bit gooey, twas a good day. Food was was huge and yum. Small turnout, but as usual, plenty of laughs . Whens the neat RTE?
A bit gooey?
Dry when I left home, enough showers to warrant putting wets on at Mount Slide, and of course it then dried-up. Met Nigel at Yea at 10:00am as planned, no others turned up by 10:30am so we headed for Tatong. Temp hovered between 5C and 8C and back to 5C by the time wet got to Tatong. No more rain, but heavy mist, ride was cool, very cool, cold!!!
Pub had two open fires and gas heaters going - thank you. By the time we got our gear off, Rex and Debbie arrived, lots of chat, soft drinks and lunch was pretty good, worth a return visit some time early 2020.
Kitted-up (wets again, the heavy mist was a bit heavier and wetter) and ready to leave by 2:30pm. Temp has risen to a balmy 7C and then 9C by the time we got to Bonnie Doon, and then double figures by Yea, but back to 8C by the time I arrived home. The rain got heavier from Yea, but stopped for a while (between Yarra Glen and Eltham) when it poured. Stayed nice and dry thanks to my new Dri Rider Storm pants and jacket.
Thanks to Nigel, Rex and Debbie for the company.
