That's a great photo.   It's an iconic location and with three OzSTOC State flags.    ++

It got down to -6°C at Yalata this morning.   I was feeling it.  I'm defrosting at Nullabor now and having breakfast.
Welcome to the outback and I wouldn't have left Ceduna until about 6 am

In hindsight nor would have I.   The angle of the sun sucked for photos of the Bight cliffs, it was cold, and I couldn't get in my room when I arrived.   I'll know next time.

Mitch and I arrived back in Perth this afternoon after a great trip finishing with a reminder from mother nature about who is the boss.
We were both thinking about the great weather we had experienced with just a little rain between York and The Lakes and that the end was insight as we approached the intersection of Roe H'way and Kalamunda Rd about 20kms from home for me but then the sky turned black and it started to rain. As we stopped at the traffic lights the heavens opened up and by the time the lights turned green we were soaked. Mitch now knew that his jacket is waterproof and my glasses had rain on the inside and outside making the next 18kms on Roe highway interesting to say the least.
Great to catchup with some Ozstoc members and meet some new fellow bikers.
To top it off I also met two other owners of GL1500s with sidecars, one lives about 20 kms away.
All up for me 2,920 kms, 185.5 litres at an average of about 15.7 kms/l and a fuel cost of $326 (one should stop recording fuel costs)

After a good FarRide and Border Run across the paddock and back, I left Marge  :spank Butters at Kimba so I could honour Kimba my old dog. I took her ashes up high above Kimba (the town) to get some photos and at a few other locations before heading east towards Port Augusta then down to Port Germain where I took Port Germain Pass across towards Murray Town (?) and went thru Wirrabara and stopped at the Silo Art site for a pic and to remove some layers.
While I was stopped there an ol' fella, Bob crossed the road towards us to lQQk at BEEstY. He had his ol dog with him and when I went down to pat her he said" she doesn't bite and her name is Kimba.   Well I burst into tears and explained why to Bob telling him I have my 'Kimba's ashes in my topbox and spoke of our journey together both now and while she was alive.
Bob said I live over there, pointing at an old workshop and I said I was thinking of knocking on your door to ask if you'd have a nail or similar so I could fix the hinge on my topbox which had come out and was lost. Well Bob helped with a piece of stainless rod, and presto,, just like a bought one , all fixed. I rode on and stopped at Morgan at the motel Marge and I stayed on the way over.
Today I rode the Sturt Hwy across the Hay Plains, may as well keep up the monotony,  finally on dusk stopping at Wagga Wagga as I was buggered and getting cold. Tomorrow I'll visit a friend before heading up the Hume to home. BEEstY hasn't missed a beat.
