I would like to introduce myself as Ben and the bike I have is a 2006 honda ST1300.  I have done some rides with friend since coming to brisbane north (petrie, very nice area).  My bike has been described as a lounge chair on wheels.  it is the most comfortable bike I have ridden.  As I look at the names there are a lot of nick names, I was never given one. Even when people found out that I was European a nick name never stuck.:dred11 o:)

Welcome Lambert.

You should never have mentioned that you havent had a nickname, cos now they guys will be waiting to give you one. It will come from something as little slipping on gravel, tripping on the gutter.

Even putting Diesel in your tank will do it.

Howdy Ben.  You have to earn a nick sometimes, good or bad.  Best to try and chose one yourself upfront and hope that it is not changed once you go on a few rides.  I know a few other European Pan riders so can give you a few links to them as you might be closer to them than many of us.

Welcome Ben,

Enjoy your adventure on the forum and have fun.

My youngest son is called Ben also, trivia.

The name Benjamin is taken from the Hebrew name Binyamin the name means Son of Right, this name is also in general stands for Son of my Right Hand.

Possible nicknames:

Bin / from Binyamin
SORe (Son of Right)
Lefty
Wrongin

As the boys have mentioned above, you will get one, one day and I hope you like it.

National Rally in March at Middleton, SA, are you going???

Cheers
Dave

Yeah, the nick "Diesel" is already taken.  You might try "water" or "beer", but at least diesel made lots of smoke and the engine still ran (it's a Honda, after all).

We'll definitely be seeing you around.  Brisbane area has a larger than average population of STs, as you can see from the Member Map.

Catch up soon.  Saturday?
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Hi Ben - hope you're having a ball on the BeaSTie!

Post up a pic of her for us when you have time, and now that the National Rally is over, we can concentrate more on local rides and lunches around the Brissie area.

Cheers, Diesel
