Gidday All
New ST1300 rider-as of this week.
Just traded in my 02 Transalp as it was time for a change. Loved the Tranny (put 50K km on it), but also loving the ST. Riding in winter conditions here on a faired bike kind of reminds me of my CB900 which was my only mode of transport in Scotland in '04-'05. Love the ST1300 engine heat 'problem'!
Anyhow, joining here to pick up tips and tricks as I learn about the ST. Also enjoy reading about different touring routes as it's only a matter of time before a biking trip to Oz occurs. (Last travelled properly there as a hitchhiking backpacker in '92).
So, hello again-look forward to learning from the experts!

Hi acme and welcome to OzSTOC.    You have certainly come to the right place for tips and tricks about your ST.   The ST is a great tourer and there are plenty of long distance tourers on the forum.    For you, the first port of call should be to search for the threads on heated grips. :thumb
