Cams, Cam Mounts, Editing Software... / Re: Navman MiVue™ M760D Dash Cam

Well, I finished the camera install tonight and the mighty ST is all back together and ready for a test ride... :runyay
It all ended up probably easier than I thought it may have been.

As can be seen in the photos I mounted the rear camera right up under the top box.

While the Top Box/ rack/grab handles are made of cast alloy or such, I discovered the central part was actually plastic.
So, I made the decision to drill a hole through it which then enabled me to run the camera cable straight through into the under-seat compartment.
To do this I had to completely remove the top box mount but doing this resulted in a very tidy setup...

With the front camera I wanted to keep it fairly discreet, so I kept it tucked back under and to one side of the headlight.
I kept it offside as I was concerned that under extreme braking the mud guard may hit the camera if it was centrally mounted.
I was also concerned that part of the bodywork would appear in the cameras view so I spent a fair bit of time with its eventual placement
trying to keep any bodywork appearance to a bare minimum while still trying to keep the camera fairly well tucked away.

I guess I'll know how successful I was once I do any final adjustments of the cameras after a few test rides...  :popcorn

There are upsides and downsides.  Many people highlighting the advantages of EV’s could be accused of confirmation bias; people highlighting the disadvantages of EV’s could also be accused of confirmation bias.

That's already happened and some of the responses got quite personal...  >:()

Bold, oversize font in some threads is akin to being shouted at, and is not necessary or appropriate in a debate.

They are called headings, Michael...  :popcorn
