Title: Introduction
Post by: Evert on July 27, 2019, 12:44:23 AM
As per request from Brock (OzSTOC Admin)
My introduction:
Rode a roadtrail bike through the city for a number of years, until I got enough experience to get a full bike license, got married and promptly was asked to give the bike a miss. Stayed happily married for 25 years when the mrs said "you should get a bike, seeing how you miss it so much". Two weeks later riding my new (for me) ST1100 up from Albany back to my hometown.
no regrets.  Seriously considering a road trip towards Carnarvon later this year.

Welcome Evert!

I had a similar story, except my initial riding was on the farm and it was my wife who wanted to get back to riding first.

There plenty of wisdom, experience and great friendships to be had here.

Enjoy!

Welcome from SA.   You will be able to do some good distances on the new bike.    The members on this site can give advice on anything bike related, or more.

Hi Evert,

Welcome from Peterborough, SA.

Not a bad run up to Carnarvon on the 1100 even with the trailer.

Hi Evert,
Welcome to OzSTOC.

I am about 2 hours South of Perth,
I try and stay away from the Big Smoke though.   8)

Sorry, I should have responded earlier. Border Village is a good 16 hours from where I am, Probably 14 if I take the Norseman-Hyden gravel road.

I am planning a longish road trip to Canberra early in the new year though. If I can convince a friend to invest in a ST1100.    :bl11 :wht11
