A Christmas present for STrudel
« on: January 13, 2020, 02:36:41 PM »
Now he has a fancy schmancy tank cover. I’m not sure whether he looks more like a Jersey cow or a killer whale. The white is not quite a match, but I didn’t expect it to be. Sometimes I have to put a limit on my OCD tendencies lol.

Pretty impressive!  I hadn't seen a 2 colour one before.
Being an ST13, it's certainly not a penguin.  I'd stick with "killer whale".  Cows are way too dumb and harmless.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Me neither until the CMA run last year.  There was a bloke there with a red/white CB1300 and with a colour-matched red/white bagster cover.  That's what gave me the idea.

The bike is stunning - well done. Definitely killer whale, not Holstein/Friesian (and definitely not Jersey).
I must ask - what is it you have hanging about the dash. I'm guessing there is a Quadlock type thing there but I can't work out what all the other plastic is.

Thanks.  I’ll pass on your compliments to the big guy.

Yeah the thing on the left is a Quadlock handlebar Mount that I modified with a RAM ball, before they offered a RAM mount version. The thing on the right is a DOD Hummer dashcam.  It adds to the ‘cop bike’ image, but it was rather expensive. I’m  thinking of replacing it with one of the several dual-camera units that are available quite cheaply now.
