Sintered or Kevlar/Carbon Brake Pads?

Diesel:
What's good about what type people - what do you use? What's been your experience?

Stopping power? Amount of brake dust/discolouration? Amount of brake fade?

saaz:
I have used a few HH performance rated pads - great stopping power, don't fade and get better the hotter they get. Downside was rotor wear - new rotors in 100,000kms

I am currently using sintered metalgear pads (they are based in Brisbane).  I replaced the rotors 100,000kms ago and they are still in great condition.  First set of pads with the new rotors lasted 92,000kms.  Good all round performance, even better when considering the rotors are lasting way better.

Biggles put some in I think.

alans1100:
Two sets of OEM pads and one aftermarket set between them over 154500 kms or since the bike was new in 1999. 4th set of pads due in the next 15,000kms but will do on the next tyre change anyway.

Tossed the aftermarket set bin after 20,000 kms as they were to noisy so current set has about 65,000 kms wear and estimating one third of my riding is towing the trailer and 80 percent is now two up. Even still I rarely use the brakes unless needed. I find the 1100 has more than adequate engine braking for about 90 percent of my usage.

Still have original discs with no sign of disc wear on any disc and brake dust is a given but I'm lucky to clean my wheels more than twice a year anyway.

Diesel:
Took your advice Saaz and Alan and threw a set of these pads on the rear tonight....
