Post by: DJW on September 25, 2014, 03:39:40 PM
My airhawke comfort seat arrived today.  I have aST1300 and the seat is ok but iv heard stories about the longer rides the seat not that great so I invested in one of these.  Cant wait to try it out

Anyone else got one - what do you think of them?

I've had one for years.
They're good.  Nearly everyone will warn you against over-inflation.
Too high and you "swim around" on it.
Too soft and you bottom out.
Just right and your butt bones just touch the seat and everything is honkey dorey.

edit to accommodate Marcus' butt.

I had mine over-inflated, which was the best suit for me

We did considerable miles on both Rider and Pillion Airhawks with solid performance on a 1100 and 1300  :thumb

But eventually went in search and found a custom seat to suit our needs perfectly  :thumbsup

Love the air hawk cushion. I tie mine at the front on each side around the seat ends with shoe laces to stop it sliding backwards

Oddly enough, I can't use my air hawk. I find it too uncomfortable and ride with just the normal Honda seat. Don't get numb bum, yet when I had my 900 Hornet, I couldn't ride without the Air Hawk.

I have been a fan of the Airhawk for a few years. Love it.

Airhawks are great.  I've got the "R" and I move it from bike to bike when I do longer days. It's been on the CBR125R, my Super Tenere, the ST1300, my Harley and it's served me well for over 100,000kms.  I know you've got yours, but for others my tip is if you don't get the "R" spend the extra and get the neoprene over the polyurethane ones. They are worth the extra $$.

They take a little getting used to and some fiddling to get the inflation right for you but once you get it right..... :thumb

I've had success with the Airhawke but think about the aftermarket options. (read Russell)
