Seems I've been doing it wrong after watching this video! :fp
Being a "larger" build than some (fat bugger in other words), I've always been a bit hesitant about putting all my weight on one footpeg and then of course transferring the weight of the bike plus my own weight down to the side stand... :think1
Perhaps I'll give it a try next time I can get out on the mighty ST though...after-all, what's the worse that can happen??? :grin

I always park uphill, and in gear. I never stand on the peg to get on or off, no need as the left foot is firmly planted on the ground. Its easy to swing right leg over the seat.

At 185+ cm tall, I've never had a problem with standing on the ground and swinging the leg over.
Or you can ride a Spyder. :crackup :grin.

With the Spyder I have to stand on the rider's for board on the left or right side and find the right side is easier. I can swing my left leg higher than my right.
