Sydney Motorcycle Show

Here are some photos.

I asked about the VFR1200 based offroad model, which was not at the show. It will be here around March 2012.  The ST replacement may be a bit after that.  No idea about whether a BMW GSA like 30 plus litre tank will be an option.  'New' st13 photo just to fill space  :grin.  Replacement may be the racing looking bike, with optional leggy skinny young things.

The Triumph equivalent also was not at the show (shaft drive, drive by wire throttle, cruise and traction control built in).

Goldwing 2012 model does not look that much different to the current model.  But the current model works great on the road!

BMW1600 GT and GTL versions were side by side.  GTL had the lower seat which you do not really need unless you are short.  The GT normal seat was about the same height as the ST11 and ST13 normal seat.  Seating position of the GTL was more upright on the bars, more like a Goldwing, while the GT was more like the ST13.

XS650 was a blast from the past - how did we ride with brakes and skinny frame and forks (I know it just wobbled a lot!)

Ducati 1199 looked so so. The 916 when it came out was drop dead sexy.  I hope it works very well.

You should have a ride of it.  Just like the LT1200 BMW you would not go any slower on the road than with an St11 or ST13.  Just don't fall over at slow speeds as it feels alot heavier (and it is)
