notifications not coming through again.

Just a thought - have you checked in case the emails are getting caught in a SPAM folder?  Depending on what software program and email provider you are using there is probably a way to 'whitelist' forum@ozstoc.com to stop the emails getting caught.

They started coming through then stopped again so not going to spam.Got it sorted it's because I'm being flooded with notifications from Kev's posts like 10 notifications at a time.

That's not a web site issue Glen.   I replied, but in what I considered to be the wrong thread, so I quickly deleted my post, and reposted in a different thread.

I don't know if it's an issue with the website, because I'm now using the laptop more often.

However, when I go back to Tapatalk, I'm logged out, and its forgotten I've got OzSTOC forum as a favourite.

I have to search for OzSTOC, log in again, and its OK until next time. Then it's rinse and repeat.

I think it maybe a tapatalk problem. Since the forum probably has a new IP address, that may need to be updated intapatalk.

I'm only guessing here, as I dont use tapatalk.

Tapatalk now can't even search for OzSTOC.com.

I have to go down to a previous post to get to it, and then log in.

That’s strange.  I’m not a big Tapatalk user - haven’t even opened it for months, but I opened it just now and it seems all OK.  Maybe it’s because I use an iPhone lol.

Actually, I Think I see what you mean. I installed tapatalk on my iPad, and a search for ozstoc doesn’t work.

So was I for a while.  I suspect that if you clear your browser's cache, or maybe just close and reopen your browser, it might come good.

To get back into the forum via chrome on my phone, I had to type in www.ozstoc.com.au, then  use the link there to get to the forum.

I had to clear the cache, restart fire fox and try a few times, then it clicked in.

It seems just to take a few tries, and then is all back to normal

I think I've worked out what the problem is with Tapatalk (TT), but I don't know the solution.

Every time I back out of OZSTOC, I'm automatically logged out of OzSTOC on TT. I used to be able to remain logged in.

It has only happened since we swapped servers, so it must be a seeing in the forum.

Who set up TT compatibility in the 1st place?

*edit
I've just been looking at settings, and found a contact function so I've sent Tapatalk an email. :X

Response from Chris W at Tapatalk.

"Hi Gary,

Thank you for contacting Tapatalk! The forum you are trying to reach does not have a working Tapatalk plugin running, hence causing the issue. We contacted the forum owner to update their plugin. Please report the same to your forum admin as requests from members are looked into more quickly."

Excellent Gary.  That should be enough info for one of our geeks to look into it.

Whatever happened to the no new notifications until previous one had been read isn't anyone else's inbox getting flooded.

No, I'm not that popular.  I also prune messages when they are o longer relevant or required.

For me, it seems to work as expected.  Once I get a notification on a topic I don't get any more until I go read the topic.

Which means that I don't get any notifications about Kev's funnies until about 5 minutes after I read one of them  :crackup
