RTE New Norcia, event planned and date set.
Maintenance day: - Dave Ropers place, date to be set
Border run in August (Far Rider event)
Over Nighter/ RTE Northampton ( Visit Winston66 )
Any more ideas..
-
Border run is a good idea, but not a WA one necessarily hmm.. How many might go from WA, as a good chance to meet up. I might be able to get to that, just have to organise around another possible meet up in Victoria..stay tuned or you may miss out!
-
This is the Annual WA SA border run Saaz, apparently its quite popular
-
I :think1 might do August border run.
-
I have never done the Border Run but have met the pudding which is the centre of attention. I think a challenge may be up for state/territory representation, or at least a world record for ozstoc shirts at a border run.
I have not gotten official permission for such a challenge, mind. Just as a thought, is there anything that should be handed over at the border between the East and West Ozstoc groups? (symbollcally at least). Stay tuned as ideas ferment....

I think that would be a good idea a way of starting our own tradition like what has been done with the pudding

There is a FarRide to Kalbarri in Oct we could do that & visit Winston at Northampton the same weekend?

I went on a ride with the Blue Knights last weekend to 'Gnomesville' where we left some gnomes. We then rode into Collie for lunch. Some of the guys stayed overnight, I came home the same day.
Total K's for me was 450. That's Midland to Gnomesville to Collie and then home to Midland.
Sound like a decent days ride?
Just a thought.

:wht11hey guys the ride to kalbarri sounds good, pick me up at gero,an winston at northhampton on the way...make it happen

Its nearly September Guys so time to float some ideas.
We are due for another RTE somewhere as well.
So far a Kalbari overnighter. Also for consideration, an overnighter up to Denham, Carnarvon or Monkey Mia somewhere where Winston and Excopper could attend, this may make sense for a couples getaway weekend as well. We all KNOW that a GREAT TIME is ALWAYS had on these trips - it's just a matter of folks showing up.
Carnarvon would be a good long push, with about 10 hrs in the saddle.
Any more ideas???

Hey guys,

Brian,
What is your connection with the field day?
If I get organised I may be there on the 29th.
Glen

:wht11 yep best you all head south, better for all
-
Hi Glen, I work for a hydraulic cylinder company so the field days are ideal to
See many of my WA clients in one spot plus any new OEMs that we may be able
to supply .

Is there anywhere north that you can think of thats good to stay? I've not really done any bike runs in that direction but open to suggestions plus there is Kalbarri in Oct
-
Yeah Greenbushes does a similar thing & we could get a few attendees tho not sure if Roper & Brock would get a "Leave Pass"

While I was at a speech course this week, I happened to meet a person who works in a cafe in Moora.
Woodstock Takeaway Cafe
97 Gardiner St
Moora
It could be a RTE or an overnighter, as the camp ground/ pub are cheap, so they say.
Just an idea.

I know its a darn long way off, but NEXT CHRISTMAS ( :eek ) .. My wife and I always do the Perth Bikers Charity ride.. Its only a short hop from Burswood up to Joondalup, but we love the idea of giving toys to the kids. We always go in fancy dress and usually have around 50 gifts to donate. We've found that if you ask the local retailers realy nicely, they will often donate an item or two. Can be a toy from K-Mart, some non-perishable foods stuff from Coles, a gift voucher from Westfields - doesn't matter, it all goes to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
Last year we went as Sally Ann & Andy, previously we were fully kitted out as Elves. Its starting to catch on as we've been doing the fancy dress theme for last 4 years. Be good if we could ride with similarly dressed ST riders.. :bl11 :dred11 :wht13 :dred11 Word of warning though, my wife rides her 125 Scooter (its o/k though, causes shes a rev head and the bike is Candy red like my ST )
Happened to run into Bandit ( the one ermed organizer ) in Albany yesterday. Was realy suprized that soo few bikes where out on runs. Only saw about 8 or 10 in the 800K round trip. and hardly ANY flags. !!
