Title: EBC Brake Pads for the ST1300??
Post by: RGardner on August 10, 2013, 03:23:52 PM
I ordered two sets of EBC FA261HH brake pads for the front from Amazon which I tried to fit today but they wouldn't. It appears to be exactly the same item I'd used for my rear brakes a few months back which went in without a problem. I'm sure I picked up the code from this forum but can't find the post. Amazon says they are suitable for the ST1300. They seem to be slightly shorter and wider than the existing factory ones which are overdue for replacement.

Does the code EBC FA261HH sound right/wrong to anyone?

Thanks,
Rob

I've just downloaded the EBC parts fitment list.

They quote FA261HH for the front and FA261HH for the rear for my 1100A. I know both front and rear pads are different but the shape is similar so the same part number looks weird.

The 1300A seems to have seems to have an updated front pad for some later models.

The early ones from A2 to A7 (02-07) models are the same as my 1100A.

The later ones from A8 to AA (08-12) models have a FA388HH up front and staying with the FA261HH for the rear.

That might be what it is. I've got the 2010 model so it must use the FA388 HH ones on the front and the FA261 HH on the rear.
