I will put my hand up for a pair.
Common sense would dictate the purchase of another ST to utilize the 2nd frame    :runyay

Number 2 looks the goods - the larger font stands out more than the former.
I assume bike plates nation wide are the same size?
Of so, I'll put my order in for one please

Streak,  I'll happily take the spare one off your hands.  I think it'll go well with my black on silver personalised plate.  :grin

Yup the first one is classy.

The second ones font size is too big. Looks gaudy and cramped.

# 1 may be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye but from a pure advertising point of view you get more bang for your buck from #2.
Guess it all comes down to if you want it to look purdy or potentially attract more members   :popcorn

No 1, it looks prettier, and after all I AM a girl!  It'll go nicely with my ochre on white number plate.  Nice of you to choose the NT colours Streak  :KissBlow

I guess the only way to find out is to measure them. My SA plate comes to 21.5cm x 9.5cm

Definitely number 1 for me, it's more refined and sutle just like the ST is. I didn't buy my ST to be a billboard, I bought it because it was a refined style of bike with beautiful lines and after 10 years for the 13 and 23 for the 11, this bike is still beautiful, still attracts people over to ask questions about it.

My personal thoughts only, but if I wanted the ST to look like a European BMW then that's what I would have bought.

So, yep No1 for me.

I prefer Number two because my youngest brother looked at the sticker on my bike and said, "So you a member of a stoners club" with a big cheesy grin on his face, not unlike this . :grin

Both are pretty cool though and I would have either.

Here is where the voting is up to!

Image number 1 with Australian St Owners Club as 1 line: 25 (61%)

Image number 2 with Australian St Owners Club as 2 lines: 16 (39%)

Total Members Voted: 41

Voting closes: October 31, 2013, 07:59:28 PM

and here is some interesting information about number plates sizes:

Hi Graham,

The East Coast is all the same – Qld, NSW, Vic, Tas.

SA have their own size, WA have their own size. We can source these but they are more expensive as we don’t make the frames, we buy them in and print them.

Cheers

Scott

so i am getting them priced as well

could i suggest you put the web address in lower case, as it is in the real world, but keep the important part standing out, e.g. www.OzSTOC.com (http://www.OzSTOC.com) I think this will look even better on the frames... oh, number 1 for sure :-) it got my vote

also, perhaps you could look at making them a bit wider, as Allan said, 21cm for SA and perhaps WA? and have a wider border that can be removed for our pllates, left in there for the east coast???
cheers, Lee

I agree with the lower case lettering Lee, damn good point.

The supplier we have found is up to speed with all the plate sizes, he does 1 stock sizing, but he caters for all the states, we have worked out a purchase deal of

50 plates to suit the east coast & Northern Territory

10 plates to suit South Australia

20 plates to suit Western Australia

I think we are best keeping the nice simple size Frame, so it does not dominate look wise on people's bikes, but with the orange writing with stand out  :thumb

I am hanging out to get them, I think they are going to look awesome!

Far be it for me to say what's right and what's not, but with a mixture of both upper & lower case fonts, they do tend to stand out as is the case with an old Team Moto frame I recently removed.

Sort guys cost factors and the like, we are sticking with the plain text, the logo will make it to busy, and we would only be able to do it in single Colour anyway and it would end up tiny

Queensland is following that idea next year.  Will save the gummint squillions, but rego charges will probably go up rather than down.  Seems to be the way it works with them.

Marcus. You need to straighten your rego label holder. That is just bugging me.  :well

Unbecoming an OzSTOC member, really.  We might need to investigate a system of fines for lowering the standard!!      :-(((

You need rego lables? :fp :popcorn

SA got rid of them a couple of years ago, so the back of the bike now looks much less cluttered.

That was my intention and if each person notes on the delivery instructions to be put in the batch then i am sure that will be organized however a time limit needs to be put in place so all orders to be delivered to me must be in to Streak by COB Friday 13th. I assume that is OK with Streak  :grin
