2022 Border Run
« on: February 21, 2022, 08:35:06 AM »
Yesterday I booked my room at Border Village for the 2022 Border Run.
Bookings are starting to fill up so anyone thinking about it should book now.
Given it is only 4 weeks before the rally I will be continuing on after the BR to Victor Harbor and leaving my bike there.
I will then fly home and return to pick up the bike to attend the rally.

This might not be the right thread, but near enough. Can anyone shed any light on why there is no Farriders website?

Wombat knows, something about the ownership changing hands. I just do the border run out of interest and not as a FR.

Well, that was an interesting read.  It seems that the few differences of opinion that are at time voiced on here are pretty minor to what has happened behind the scenes, or on the FR forum.

It doesn't look like settling down any time soon, judging by some of the comments posted by the new owner before he shut down the forum.     :'(
We're all just waiting with bated breath for its re-establishment, so we can get on with the FarRides and put the politics behind us.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
