Hi all, Roy here from Orange, NSW.
I purchased a 2002 candy red St1300 back in November 2019.
Its quite an upgrade from my previous road bikes (1983 cb900, 1984 vf1000) and the trail bike I've been riding for the last 2 years (2005 xr400).
After some time without the VF and riding the XR i thought i wanted an adventure tourer style bike with panniers.
Then I went and sat on an Africa Twin in the shop and then the CB500X beside it, both had their pros and cons.
I decided that a more road orientated bike would be better. You know, something that I didn't have to hoist my leg up and over, and a bit more comfortable.
Then I saw the ST on face book and decided to have a look.
After a run down on her history and travels, a long talk with her owner, you know 4 hours later, i became the proud owner of a beautiful, new to me, bike.
The more I ride it the more I love it. Every thing about this bike makes sense.
I love it.
